]]> Developed on the Android 11 platform, SIGMA offers an intuitive experience and is ready for future integrations and applications. The 5-inch touch display with IP65 and IK08 certification provides weather and wear resistance, making it ideal for demanding environments. SIGMA is equipped with Wi-Fi, 4G and LAN connections, as well as a multi-operator SIM card, ensuring stable connectivity in every situation. It supports MDB1 (“credit first”) and MDB3 (“selection first”) levels and can operate as cashless #1 or #2, adapting to any cashless system. In combination with a central unit Caiman2, it also allows to load a credit onto traditional vending keys, significantly reducing the impact of bank fees.

]]> The solution consists of three elements:

  • The first is the OPTO Reader, a small peripheral equipped with MDB protocol that integrates an optical sensor and a Bluetooth module to establish the connection with the user’s smartphone. The OPTO reader contains no modem or SIM card, which reduces costs and simplifies system installation. OPTO-PIT also integrates a traditional “key” system, whose operation is totally separate from the digital solution.
  • The OPTO App, available free of charge for Android and iOS, and Huawei OS allows you to operate with all vending machines equipped with an OPTO reader, regardless of the operating company or national borders. Top-ups of the electronic purse can be done with credit card, cash and other advanced payment tools. On suitably enabled vending machines, OPTO can also replicate the machine selection keypad on the user’s phone screen. With just one click, the consumer can select the product and pay directly from their phone. The vending experience thus becomes even more immediate, simple and effective.
  • The OPTO Portal (server or backend), containing all data and critical info, is housed in secure and certified data centers. The server manages payment flows with an external banking partner, issuer of electronic money and authorized to operate throughout the European Union. The manager can access the OPTO Portal to have full visibility on the situation and order the payment of funds from his Electronic Money account to his ordinary bank account.
